Course Description

Our evening language courses are built around an arts and culture context. You will explore a variety of topics including architecture, cuisine, culture, design, fashion, society and more.

Over the 8 weeks of the French Pre-Intermediate course, you will learn how to express your opinion and preferences, characterise a person, talk about yourself in detail, use functional language pertinent to television design, fashion and the urban surroundings. Emphasis is on spoken communication and interaction; this is achieved through pair and group work and role-plays.
Some of the key language points you can expect to be exposed to at French Pre-Intermediate level are: tenses, reflexive verbs, conjugation, comparatives and superlatives. There is a focus of the programme on oral communication and pronunciation as well as using language for functional and practical purposes.

The maximum number of students attending each class is 15.
